Royal Oak, Poulton-le-Fylde

Construction of a new-build three-storey apartment block of sixteen self-contained luxury apartments, including external works, pavement widening, and new service connections.

The site is located on a prominent corner along the edge of Poulton-le-Fylde's conservation area and had been vacant and in need of development for several years. The site formerly housed the Royal Oak public house and hotel and its associated car park, which was demolished in June 2018.

FJBS Ltd takes great pride in being a key member of the team responsible for delivering this iconic building. This project allowed us to employ, not only our experience in delivering complex construction projects, working with a wide range of sub-contractors and suppliers, but also to take an active role in providing design solutions throughout the duration of the project.

The development was constructed using a steel frame, with pre-cast concrete floors, and a combination of pad foundations, strip footings, and a reinforced ground-bearing concrete slab.
